We're supposed to be fasting. The whole church. For 21 days. It's actually a very simple fast. Beans, rice, fruits, veggies, whole grains and so forth. Nothing fried or processed. That's how we normally eat. No big deal there. But wait, there's more: no dairy...or coffee. What??!!?? I was set up for failure before I even began!
We had a beautiful meal of lentils and brown rice with hummus and chapatis last night. This morning, all the nice whole grain chapatis are gone. I am hungry for hummus and what do I have? No carrots or celery. I have tortilla chips. I also have homemade chocolate cake but that's an entirely different story. Thanks, Amanda.
Have any of you ever been on a Daniel Fast? How did you do? What were your thoughts? Let me know.

Gostei muito desse post e seu blog é muito interessante, vou passar por aqui sempre =) Depois dá uma passada lá no meu site, que é sobre o CresceNet, espero que goste. O endereço dele é http://www.provedorcrescenet.com . Um abraço.
My in-laws do this fast every January. I have never done it 'cause, quite frankly, I am a wimp and I don't want to give up certain foods.
I can not even imagine eating hummus without carrots... is it even possible? :)

Our church did this last year and the year before. I did better last year than the previous one; but that's not saying much....I hope you do well.
