Right now, we have a gorgeous peach brugmansia, modeled with the ever-lovely elfgirl. These beauties not only are a welcome color addition to the brown-y/green fall garden, they also have a sweet fragrance.

Elf Girl and the Princess
These two girls just make me giggle! Notice the matching hats, scarves and mittens: courtesy of Mee-Maw. They had lots of fun playing on the "playground" at my parents' home. Thanksgiving was such a lovely day in central Louisiana!

Logging in Central Louisiana
Here's a short video of my father's mad pine tree harvesting skills. James is the fearless videographer whose voice you will hear toward the end of the video. What you are seeing in this video is footage of my dad "delimbing" young pine trees. If you live in a highly forested area, you have probably seen logging trucks with limbless pines. This is how it happens! Keep in mind, these trees are approximately 5-10 years old. Tree harvesting (logging) is stewarding an easily renewable product.
