I homeschooled my kids off and on until Jr. High. It was lots of fun. My dh was AF and we moved a lot so homeschooling was consistency for them at times. Some places we only lived for about 3 months. I used Abeka and Bob Jones. They were ahead of their classmates when they entered Jr. High. One of my kids is an Engineer and the other is going to Embry Riddle. Not to bad huh? I miss my kids too---they are 25 and 27. But they are on their own and doing well.
You can do so much more when you homeschool. You don't have to teach them 8hrs a day either. It takes about 3 hours a day to get it all done cause you are one on one. My engineer liked math--so some days he did math all day. My Embry Riddle child loved history and English--so we concentrated on areas they wanted to study. When my kids did finally go off to school, they got chosen for all sorts of responsible positions. It's not for everybody but I and they loved it. Thanks for visiting my blog today.

We're a homeschool family too. My children are 20 and 15, (still homeschooling the 15yo). It has been a wonderful experience for our family.
