Thanks for pointing that out Chris. They were used in Native American rituals for many years (maybe still?? I'm not sure). I point out the danger side because many of my friends have small children. Just a few of these seeds or leaves could kill a small child and I want all my readers to be aware of the possible danger.

Great pic! I didn't know CS Lewis wrote a Space Trilogy?
They are so pretty...and huge! lol!
Such beauty that is also deadly. Have a great WW. :)
Thanks for the warning - I was about to stick my nose in for a sniff! ;-)
Happy WW - mines up at http://anyapples.blogspot.com/
So pretty! Happy WW!
Beautiful. They're also hallucenogenic - that's why they're very dangerous. There's always an experimental soul who takes the experiment too far!

Wow, you'd never think something so pretty would be poisonious!
A beautiful flower. Aren't the most poisonous ones almost always very beautiful?
Absolutely, wizard! Hemlock, angel's trumpets, belladonna...deadly one and all.
