On track...

Well, we have had a fun-filled weekend...as usual. Yesterday was mostly planting, weeding, driving around and then reading inside when the rains came. We are still on track with our morning stretches and eating of the breakfast. This routine really is something new for us...how bizarre, eh? Today was a 5:30 AM wake-up to be at the new church site by 6:30 this morning! Something funny: when the alarm went off, I popped straight up from the pillow. Unfortunately for me, my hair was caught beneath James' arm. Ow! It pulled me right back down...

We are starting up a new campus of Harvest Outreach at the Rave Theatre. The theatre the kids will be in seats 139 and the adult theatre seats about 370, I think. It is so exciting and we're all looking forward to the extra work (I mean, change, adventure and so on).

For Something Different

Today is the day I post my made from scratch entry for the week. I must say, the first one turned out less than spectacular so I will be entering an alternate as well.

Cilantro Sauce
I started with about 1 cup of cilantro leaves/stems
put cilantro in blender,
add 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
blend until cilantro is thoroughly chopped
Voila! Nastiness!! Now, I'm not saying it doesn't taste good and it will be wonderful in salsa or on enchiladas...it just ain't so pretty, ya'll. And the smell was fairly potent...

Moving right along...
to entry number two...This little "sewing caddy" I made a while back, just to use a pretty piece of broken china. The cup's handle is missing and the saucer is quite aged. However, I love both of the pieces. In order to salvage them, I glued them together and use the combo as a pin cushion/sewing tray. It looks adorable beside my sewing machine and I have the satisfaction of knowing I repurposed such pretty fine china.

You right the cilantro doesn't look that great, but I'm sure it tastes good. The pin cushion is just way too cute!

I love the pin cushion! I did the same thing almost with a mug that my granddaughter gave me. It is now a pen holder by the computer.

Yeah cilantro can be interesting. There's this green glarp called Sofrito that's pretty similar looking to that only greener...:o)

It actually was fairly green. The bubbles (mmmmm) on top gave it that brownish tinge (from the apple-cider vinegar)

Mmmmmmm... cilantro... I love it's smell and flavor, and it's so delicate-looking (if not assassinated by a blender)!

I also like your verb repurpose.
