So I was just on the Etsy forums and saw this amusing post from Kathryn. The topic of discussion is fending off telemarketers:

I get calls from a various online pharmacies, which is annoying as they are always kinda pushy. They like to start out with saying their records show that I can have my prescriptions filled with them for less...
My favorite time went something like this:
me: what prescriptions am I on?
them: well...our computer doesn't show that information
me: but you said that you could see my prescriptions
them: but not the names of the medications
me: but I'm not on any medications, does that mean someone is sneaking medications into my food?? (paranoia inching into my voice)
them: no, I'm not saying that--
me: but why would they do that??! Who is doing it? Does it say who it is? Is it my family?!! (starting to sound hysterical)
them: No, no, I'm saying that someone is giving them to you--
me: But I don't believe in medicines. I only use herbs and tea... I don't understand--what is the medicine for??!
them: It's ok, I don't think anyone is giving you medicines--
me: But then why am I on your list???
them: It is just a list of names, it doesn't automatically mean your are receiving medications.
me: But why am on the list???!
them: I don't know, but I'll take you off the list.
me: thank you :-)

I just read this out loud to my husband, and he's just leapt up and left the room because he snorted tea out his nose. Fuh-huh-neee!! Oh, I only wish I could be so quick with the anti-telemarketer improv...
Ha - that's too funny! My dad gets these calls all the time. He likes to make up names of drugs just to mess with them.
