Ode to my Skirt

These two girls have wreaked more havoc on my clothesline than anything I have ever encountered. Just now, I am unwilling to venture outside to discipline them--because they shredded my most favorite skirt!! You know the kind: brown and red and blue multicolored broomstick skirt. It didn't show dirt and hid all my flaws. I could layer it or wear it alone. Just the right length and oh so graceful. Farewell, beloved skirt. You will be sorely missed...

Hi Becca! Thanks for stopping by my blog and sticking your pin in my map. I'll be sure to add you to the growing list when I post tomorrow.

From reading your "About Me" page and some of your posts, I can tell you are one of those people to whom I wish I lived a lot closer. I think we would have a lot in common.

Re: the dolls - They'll get their faces by this weekend (fingers crossed) although I have grown accustomed to seeing them without. In case you didn't know already, the pattern for Olive and Archie can be purchased and downloaded from Hillary Lang's site, Wee Wonderfuls. She has the most adorable little creations!

And as for clothes hanging on the line, it's my own children I have to worry about making a mess!

Hi Becca! I am sitting here at this very moment sewing on a face! I found this tutorial to be a little helpful http://pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/how-to-bury-a-knot/ although it doesn't seem to do very well with the flannel I used. I have to be very gentle when pulling the knots through. The body material in the link looks a lot more heavy duty.

Right now the eyebrows I am giving Olive make her look very worried indeed!
